Check HEB grocers in Austin TX (H.E.Butt companies) who recently teamed with Goodwill to put young people with special challenges to work in their stores. They literally did both participate in training them then supervising them in their stores, and compensated as planned.

I believe this was part of one of the Obama funded projects to support the economy. I know of this directly through an atty here whose young son participated fully and his report was it has been life-changing for the child and family. Goodwill did the training in this case.

I believe there are other companies involved in this project locally. While I don't know what takes place next but know you can research this.
